I am a documentary filmmaker, educator, and founder of Evening Film, a women-led production company based in Ohio. I came up through documentary — drawn early on to intimate, observational stories that take their time to unfold — and that instinct still shapes everything I make, whether the camera is pointed at something real or something written. I value tenderness over spectacle and listening over explanation, and lately that same instinct has been pulling me toward narrative and episodic work too,

Through Evening Film, I develop projects that spend time with underrepresented perspectives whose stories require trust and patience to unfold, while supporting new and emerging filmmakers along the way.

 

Alongside that work, I'm the Multimedia Videographer & Editor at Capital University, and I teach emerging filmmakers through community-based and academic education — because the slowness and care I bring to a film set, I try to bring to a classroom too.
